Hospital accredited for sleep research
Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics has been granted accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC).
In receiving this honor, Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics becomes the only Accreditation Commission for Healthcare accredited Sleep Disorder Center in the region.
To achieve ACHC accreditation, the center was required to complete a detailed on-site review of the facility and staff by two ACHC reviewers. The review was a rigorous process in which all elements of Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics program were evaluated for compliance to ACHC Standards. The ACHC standards for accreditation are designed to promote quality in sleep and neuro-diagnostic testing services, and to ensure that the needs of the patients and referring physicians are met.
Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics is able to treat a wide variety of conditions, including insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and sleep apnea, among others. The center also works with physicians who refer children for the testing of sleep-related symptoms which many times are not only a problem for the young patient, but the entire family.
